Occupational Therapy

The goal of occupational therapy is to help people improve their everyday skills so they can be more independent and participate in a variety of activities. Sensory issues can also be managed with OT strategies.

Occupational therapy strategies include:
  • Training for independent living skills
  • Motor development
  • Sensory integration strategies
  • Positive mental health strategies
  • Social-emotional development
  • Self-regulation strategies
  • Social participation activities
  • Play and leisure activities
  • Cognitive-behavioral approaches
  • Visual aids and technology
